Planning Process

At M.A. Kluemke & Associates, we spend a great deal of time with our clients at the beginning of our relationship. The planning process is intricate, and typically involves the following steps:

Introductory Meeting

In our introductory meeting, we get to know you and how you think about money and life in general. We review how we work and the fundamentals about money which drive the way we look at the whole process. 

Financial Review

After the initial meeting, we ask you to bring in financial documents that we will review to assess your current financial situation.  All information is kept confidential. 

Discovery & Goal Setting Meeting

Our next appointment would be a review of your current net worth statement and cash flow.  We discuss, in depth, what you'd like to accomplish in retirement and identify realistic goals. 

Strategy Development

Armed with all of this information, we analyze the data that we have, and access a strategy to help you reach your goals.  We attempt to marry the financial reality with the feeling you have about retirement and your vision and goals for that phase of your life.  We take a holistic approach to the development of a strategy, taking into consideration all of the factors that are unique to you. 

Recommendations Meeting

During the Recommendation meeting, we present you with a comprehensive list of recommendations about solutions you could employ to meet your goals.  Included are savings strategies needed and financial vehicles that would be appropriate for you to help reach your goals. 

Implementation Meeting

At this meeting we provide a detailed explanation of the costs associated with each solution being implemented.

Delivery Meeting

We review the final documents and/or contracts and answer any questions you may have. After having gone through this process, our clients are very excited for the financial clarity that they have gained. Many of our clients want to share their experience with friends and family. This meeting is an opportunity for you to let us know who you would like to introduce us to so that others may benefit from our services.

Ongoing Planning

Once you become a client, we review your situation at least once a year to ensure that you are on the right path.  We know that your circumstances may change and could affect your retirement timeline.  We make sure that the strategies in place continue to be appropriate to help you meet your goals.  We also keep an eye out for changes in the tax code and other trends that may impact your strategies, and we inform you if there is a need to adjust your plan.
